InfiRay Outdoor ZOOM ZH50V2 Dual FOV 640×512 25-50MM 2X/4X Thermal Monocular
$3,999.00
The iRay ZOOM ZH50V2 Dual Field of View Monocular is the next generation of the most technologically advanced handheld thermal optic in history.
Description
As the pioneer that brought dual FOV functionality into commercial thermal optics, InfiRay Outdoor has changed the market again with the ZOOM ZH50 V2, an upgraded dual-field-of-view monocular. Switch seamlessly between wide field-of-view (FOV) for detection and narrow FOV for target identification with theZH50 V2’s patented dual FOV design. This 2× optical zoom provides increased detail while still maintaining 100 percent of the sensor’s native resolution. TheZH50 V2is equipped with an industry-leading 12 μm 640×512 high-resolution sensor with ≤25mK sensitivity and a high-contrast 1440×1080 FHD AMOLED display. Featuring built-in audio, image, and video capture with 32 GB of internal memory, pixel calibration, and high-speed wireless streaming via the InfiRay Outdoor App, theZH50 V2 guarantees unparalleled quality and performance.
ZOOM V2 and PRO series optics utilize an optical dual field-of-view control. This gives you the benefits of a wide FOV (25 mm) lensand a longer (50 mm) lens in the same device. Because this is a true optical zoom control on the objective side, this happens before any digital zoom is applied so no resolution is lost.
Features:
- Dual Field of View (FOV) optical zoom lens for detection and target identification.
- Industry-leading 12 μm ≤25 mK sensor provides a 2,400-yard detection range.
- Two Infiray Outdoor IBP-1 battery packs for quick battery changes in the field.
- Ultra-clear mode improves image clarity in rainy, foggy, or low-contrast conditions.
- Algorithm-based shutterless correction is silent and extends battery life.
- Cold and warm image hue options provide higher contrast or reduced eye strain
With the ZOOM’s patented dual-field-of-view design, users can seamlessly switch between a wide field-of-view (FOV) for detection, and a narrow FOV for target identification. This 2X increase in optical magnification occurs with an intuitive twist of the objective focus ring and maintains 100 percent of the sensor’s native resolution.
Why is adjustable optical zoom so important? Thermal monoculars have historically only been offered with a fixed field of view, which means the only way to zoom in and out is digitally through software and digital zoom decreases thermal image resolution. Just 1 step of digital zoom on a 640×480 sensor degrades the thermal image resolution to 320×240, and another step of digital zoom degrades the thermal image resolution to an abysmal 160×120. This is the problem that is solved by the ZOOM’s adjustable optical zoom feature. You now have 1 device with an adjustable field of view. Twist the focus ring to the right to zoom out and you get a 2X – 640×512 thermal resolution image, twist it to the left and get a 4X – 640×512 thermal resolution image.
